We have accomplished a lot of high-end quality projects to date, but one that sticks out is a project we built for James Horvath trophy truck driver #50. ARMOR INC. built a tow rig, like no other, for his James Horvath. With a competitive edge, James required HORSEPOWER and the toughest of all, RELIABILITY! For James, a fierce competitor, he needed a truck that could handle his driving. So after blowing the motor twice in his 2009 6.4L Ford Powerstroke engine, James asked Darren Harris of, ARMOR INC., “What about a Dodge Cummins swap and a 1000HP?”.
Darren Harris replied, “No! How about 600HP all day long and never have to lift pulling up any hill?”
To which James said, “Why not a 1000HP?”
Jokingly, Darren replied, “I know how you drive and I don't want to fix it every week.”
So began a transplant of a 2005 Twin Turbo Common Rail into a 2009 Ford F350. Putting in approximately, 130 hours of labour ARMOR INC. was excited to unveil the resurrected Ford F350 to James with the following add-ons....
- 2005 5.9L Dodge Cummins custom engine
- Custom pistons
- Colt cam
- HD valve springs
- Custom Twin Turbos
- High flow exhaust manifold
- Custom injector nozzles
- Air Dog fuel system
- Diesel CP3 pump
- Precision Industries' Torque convertor
- Fabtech 8" coilover suspension
